The battle at Hogwarts is huge and horrible. It ties up all the threads of the Harry Potter series in unexpected ways. And in the last battle with Voldemort, Harry has drawn together pieces from incredible sources - absolutely unexpectedly. If you have any enjoyment at all for the Harry Potter series, this book will satisfy. The ending incredible. Harry has to find the way to find and destroy the remaining horcruxes, while staying alive and on the run with Ron and Hermione. It is my favorite of the series by far, and I loved the other books. In the mean time, Harry learns about his past, his cloak, his parents, and the strange lineage he comes from. The story of the Deathly Hallows is awesome, and feels like stepping into an actual myth of epic proportions.
Haven't quite finished them yet but great so far. Sent in a timely manner, and I only noticed one spot on one CD that was a little fuzzy, which can be expected. The CD's were a hit as a Christmas gift. I loved them, and I would recommend this seller.
I wish the Potter series would not end. As Harry Potter followers know, the books get better as you progress through the series. This version does not skip a beat and the best one by far.
However I will so those who are very fond of Harry Potter and his cronies will be happy.Bottom line: unless you are completely absorbed with Harry Potter mania you can very will live a full life by not reading this book. But unfortunately her passion didn't rub off on this reader.Sorry, but to be kind to potential readers I will not divulge the plot. Oh, the author sounds like she had a wonderful time writing this book; the passion is all there.
I read 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' only because I read the prior six Harry Potter books and wanted to complete the series. This final installment of the series falls into the lackluster category, unfortunately. Okay, I confess.
What we have is a lot action sequences, a lot of wizardly mumbo-jumbo, and a rather confused plot. It's really not among the better of the series. Mind you, I am not a Harry Potter fan.
I think of the first six books one was very good, a couple were pretty good, and three were decidedly lackluster.
I can't wait to dive in to this one. Besides it obviously being a great book, amazon.com never seems to fail me when it comes to price, deliveries on time and quality.
